Teamwork makes the dream work! Earlier this month, DC Partners hosted a bike building event benefitting CYCLE (Changing Young Children’s Lives through Education) onsite at The Allen Lifestyle Pavilion. Teams from Andrews Myers, GT Leach Construction, Riverway Title and Tianqing Group came together to build 20 bikes – and some friendly competition. For the finale, teams from DC Partners and GT Leach had a build off with DC Partners earning this year’s fastest build title. To date, the organization has awarded more than 175,000 bicycles to hard-working students.
DC Partners’ COO, Acho Azuike, serves on the Board of Directors and was a host for the 17th Annual Bicycle Ball that raises money to support the organization’s program across the greater Houston area. The program gives young students the opportunity to earn a bicycle for achieving their set goals, and in return, they learn that hard work equals reward. CYCLE is dedicated to improving 2nd Grade literacy at Title One schools in the Greater Houston area. Their goal is for every student in the Greater Houston area to achieve grade-level reading or above by the end of 3rd grade, putting them on the path to success and empowering them to reach their full potential in school and life.
