Chelsea Arellano

Director of Interior Development

Ms. Arellano is responsible for managing the scope of work between the project owner and the design team. She ensures that the architect’s and interior designer’s vision for the space is on track at all times. She also works with the procurement agent and vendors to manage materials selections, timelines and budgets.

Summary

After graduation, Ms. Arellano worked with Turner & Townsend, a project management consultant for commercial office space with offices in the United Kingdom and the USA. Thile there, she was a Design Management Assistant for a 50-story high-rise development as well as on multiple tenant Improvement build-out projects for Chevron real estate in Downtown Houston. She developed streamlined processes for design Assurance Review and coordinated the accountabilities of the architect, interior designer, third-party consultants and internal project team members to ensure the deliverables were tracked in an organized manner. Her ability to coordinate and conduct meetings, prepare presentations, document technical discussions, and track actions and complex issues to closure was considered an invaluable asset. Ms. Arellano also supported the value management workshops, cost optimization efforts and maintained project budgets and invoice tracking logs.

She became a consultant with DC Partners in 2016 and joined the team fulltime in 2019. She was instrumental as the lead between the Hyatt Hotel Design Services and DC Partners for The Arts Residences at Thompson San Antonio Hotel, and currently is serving in the same role for Residences at The Allen at Thompson Houston Hotel.
