As Co-President of DC Partners and Managing Director of subsidiary, Houston EB5, Roberto Contreras IV is integral to the planning and execution of DC Partners’ corporate strategy, overseeing project structuring, capital markets, and asset management. Roberto is responsible for driving the firm’s growth, recently overseeing the placement of over $250 million in equity for high-profile projects including the Thompson San Antonio Hotel and Arts Residences, The Allen Mixed-Use Development.
Prior to his current role, Roberto served as Senior Vice President, overseeing investment sales and the selection of new projects. From 2013 to 2018, he also served as Asia Director and Director of New Markets at Houston EB5, where he directly raised more than $100 million in EB-5 and institutional capital for projects in Texas, while fostering strong Asia-American business relations. During that time he also served as the Director of the George H.W. Bush Foundation for US-China Relations, facilitating high-level dialogues between U.S. and Chinese leaders and institutions.
Roberto holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Politics from Swarthmore College and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Mandarin, reflecting his global perspective and ability to navigate complex international markets. He serves on the boards of Invest in IIUSA, the Texas Asia Society, and the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where he advocates for economic development, cross-cultural engagement, and community empowerment.
